What our guests say...

Our family of 11 stayed at David's cottage for four nights over Christmas. We were blown away by the exterior and interior Christmas decorations, which our children (and we!) adored. The cottage itself is beautiful, homely and has everything you need. The hot tub was a real treat. Having two fridges was also very handy, with all our Christmas food and drink! Only 20 minutes to the town centre and local parks, so a perfect location. Would highly recommend at any time, but especially at Christmas. David was also very quick to respond to questions and gave a very useful tour on arrival.

What an amazing place. We wanted a place to stay, nearby to my parents where they could also join us overnight. Blackfirs Farmhouse was ideal and allowed four generations to gather to celebrate two 80th birthdays and a 60th wedding anniversary ❤️. Nothing was too much trouble and we had relatives dropping in during our stay to join in the celebrations. Sandra was an amazing host and turned up with a gift and card for my parents...which really meant a lot to them. It was wonderful to share the laughter and love and make wonderful memories that will last forever. Thank you Sandra and David for everything that you helped us to achieve during our break.

As keen history buffs we chose Blackfirs as it is in the heart of 1066 country. Visiting all the local castles, Battle Abbey, Herstmonceaux, Pevensey to name a few and really enjoyed it. There were so many country parks and coastal towns to visit we could have stayed another week! What we liked about Blackfirs was it was so cosy and comfortable to wind down and relax in the evening, the hosts even provided a number of board games at the house to keep us entertained.

We stayed at the farmhouse as it was close to the historic town of Battle which my mum has always wanted to visit. We had a lovely visit to the Abbey followed by a wonderful Cream Tea at one of tea rooms in the high street, very yummy!! The house had a very friendly feel about it and all the rooms were comfortable, highly recommended.
